Legal Assistant

The Hong Kong Investment Corporation Limited (“HKIC”) is dedicated to contributing to the future development of Hong Kong by identifying investment opportunities and strategically promoting the development of target industries, so as to enhance the long-term competitiveness and economic vitality of Hong Kong while generating investment return. It is wholly owned by the HKSAR Government, and consolidates the management of the investment activities of the Hong Kong Growth Portfolio, Greater Bay Area Investment Fund, Strategic Tech Fund, and the Co-Investment Fund. Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal support on all aspects of the HKIC’s business, transactions, operations and governance
- Perform initial document review, summarise key facts, identify legal issues, and formulate legal arguments
- Monitor regulatory developments, conduct in-depth legal research, and provide legal updates to the legal team
- Work closely with legal counsel, other internal departments, external counsel and professional advisors
- Maintain legal knowledge and experience library
- Organise and coordinate meetings, deadlines, calls, and events for the legal team
- Provide administrative assistance including translation, proofreading, word processing, minute-taking, presentation preparation and document management
- Perform other assigned duties as required
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Law with at least 1 year of work experience
- Associate Degree or diploma in Legal Studies with at least 2 years of work experience will be considered
- Good understanding of the Basic Law of the HKSAR
- Committed to contributing to the future development of Hong Kong and achieving the HKIC’s objectives
- Strong sense of integrity and professional ethics
- Eager to learn and willing to take on new challenges
- Attention to details
- Strong team player
- Highly motivated with ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Good computer literacy including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word processing
- Good command of written and spoken Chinese and English
Remuneration Package
