Director (Branding Strategy)

The Hong Kong Investment Corporation Limited (“HKIC”) is dedicated to contributing to the future development of Hong Kong by identifying investment opportunities and strategically promoting the development of target industries, so as to enhance the long-term competitiveness and economic vitality of Hong Kong while generating investment return. It is wholly owned by the HKSAR Government, and consolidates the management of the investment activities of the Hong Kong Growth Portfolio, Greater Bay Area Investment Fund, Strategic Tech Fund, and the Co-Investment Fund. Key Responsibilities

  • Update the corporate communications and branding strategy of the HKIC based on the latest developments of the HKIC
  • Coordinate with and provide guidance to the HKIC investee companies and partners on matters relating to joint efforts on public communications, including but not limited to announcements on investment and financing rounds, product rollouts, business and technology development milestones, and economic and social impacts stories
  • Coordinate with the HKSAR Government and public bodies to further collective goals on brand building and implementation
  • Perform other assigned duties as required

Requirements

  • University degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or a related field
  • At least 15 years of relevant working experience in brand management, corporate communications, or public relations; experience in innovation, technology or financial services preferred
  • Good understanding of the Basic Law of the HKSAR
  • Committed to contributing to the future development of Hong Kong and achieving the HKIC’s objectives
  • Strong sense of integrity and professional ethics
  • Proven track record of brand building across diverse audience
  • Digital fluency including social media strategy, multimedia content production and analytics
  • Good business acumen and experience in dealing with external stakeholders
  • Detailed-oriented, resilient and able to handle multiple tasks under pressure
  • Good team player, willing to take on new challenges and share ideas
  • Good command of written Chinese and English
  • Fluency in Cantonese, Putonghua and English
  • Good computer literacy including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word processing

 

Remuneration Package

A competitive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidates, taking into account the relevant depth and breadth of experience and qualifications. Fringe benefits include medical and dental benefits and paid annual leave.
