Associate Director (Risk & Compliance)

The Hong Kong Investment Corporation Limited (“HKIC”) is dedicated to contributing to the future development of Hong Kong by identifying investment opportunities and strategically promoting the development of target industries, so as to enhance the long-term competitiveness and economic vitality of Hong Kong while generating investment return. It is wholly owned by the HKSAR Government, and consolidates the management of the investment activities of the Hong Kong Growth Portfolio, Greater Bay Area Investment Fund, Strategic Tech Fund, and the Co-Investment Fund. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-deal due diligence of investments, prepare clear and concise risk reports explaining key issues and assessment, and present them to the senior management
- Undertake post-deal monitoring of investments through performance review, analysis on capital deployment, distribution and returns
- Develop specialist sector skills and knowledge of private markets
- Undertake qualitative and quantitative analytical tasks for investment management and risk control purposes
- Assist in risk monitoring and control of organisational / operational aspects of the HKIC
- Perform other assigned duties as required
Requirements
- University degree with good academic results in business, finance, accounting, economics, investment management or related fields
- At least 6 years of relevant experience preferably in investment banking, investment management, accounting or related fields
- Experience in business / financial / operational due diligence processes is a must
- Good understanding of the Basic Law of the HKSAR
- Committed to contributing to the future development of Hong Kong and achieving the HKIC’s objectives
- Strong sense of integrity and professional ethics
- Knowledge and expertise in private market investments, especially in the aspects of investment and operational risks
- Good understanding of risk controls applicable to organisation
- Attention to detail, excellent analytical, strategic thinking, creativity and problem-solving skills
- Good team player, willing to take on new challenges and share ideas
- Willing to work outside normal office hours as and when required
- Good command of English and Putonghua
- Good computer literacy, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word processing
(Candidates with less experience may be considered for an offer of appointment at Senior Officer level.)
Remuneration Package
