Senior Officer (Risk and Compliance)

It is wholly owned by the HKSAR Government, and consolidates the management of the investment activities of the Hong Kong Growth Portfolio, Greater Bay Area Investment Fund, Strategic Tech Fund, and the Co-Investment Fund. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting pre-deal assessment of investments, preparing clear and concise risk reports explaining key issues and assessment, and presenting them to the senior management
- Assist in conducting post-deal monitoring of investments through performance review, analysis on capital deployment, distribution, returns and value creation, and assessment of HK benefits from investments
- Support in carrying out qualitative and quantitative analytical tasks for investment management and risk management purposes
- Perform other assigned duties as required
Requirements
- University degree with good academic results in accountancy, economics, finance, investment management, risk management or related fields
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in financial services, investment management, risk management or related fields
- Experience in financial / operational due diligence work, investment banking or international accounting firms a plus
- Good understanding of the Basic Law of the HKSAR
- Committed to contributing to the development of Hong Kong and achieving the HKIC’s objectives
- Strong sense of integrity and professional ethics
- Good understanding of risk and internal controls applicable to organisation
- Good team player and willing to take on new challenges and share ideas
- Logical and attention to details
- Good command of written and spoken Chinese and English
(Candidates with less experience may be considered for an offer of appointment at Officer level.)
Remuneration Package
A competitive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidates, taking into account the relevant depth and breadth of experience and qualifications. Fringe benefits include medical and dental benefits and paid annual leave.
