Director (Investment Operations & Reporting)

The Hong Kong Investment Corporation Limited (“HKIC”) is dedicated to contributing to the future development of Hong Kong by identifying investment opportunities and strategically promoting the development of target industries, so as to enhance the long-term competitiveness and economic vitality of Hong Kong while generating investment return. It is wholly owned by the HKSAR Government, and consolidates the management of the investment activities of the Hong Kong Growth Portfolio, Greater Bay Area Investment Fund, Strategic Tech Fund, and the Co-Investment Fund. Key Responsibilities
- Perform regular analysis of the investment partners’ financial data and track the financial health, liquidity and performance metrics of the investee companies
- Review the operational performance of the investment partners and the investee companies against the established investment theses and strategic objectives
- Work on post-investment governance related matters and collaborate with external advisors as necessary
- Implement best practices in valuation processes and investment reporting frameworks
- Perform other assigned duties as required
Requirements
- University degree with good academic results
- At least 10 years in investment operations or accounting. Work experience in reputable institutions in private equity, venture capital and asset management a plus
- Good understanding of the Basic Law of the HKSAR
- Committed to contributing to the future development of Hong Kong and achieving the HKIC’s objectives
- Strong sense of integrity and professional ethics
- Strong understanding of valuation methodologies across asset classes
- Familiarity with post-investment monitoring framework
- Knowledge in relevant legal, accounting, regulatory framework
- Willing to take on new challenges and share ideas
- Detailed-oriented, resilient and able to handle multiple tasks under pressure
- Proven execution capabilities and ability to handle multi-tasks efficiently
- Good command of written and spoken Chinese and English
Remuneration Package
A competitive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidates, taking into account the relevant depth and breadth of experience and qualifications. Fringe benefits include medical and dental benefits and paid annual leave.
